Quantum Cascade Lasers: New 4.7 µm Line

LASER COMPONENTS continues to expand the range of wavelength available from its Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) series and a stock list of available wavelength can be found on the website. Both single mode DFB’s and multimode QCL lasers are available from 4.7 µm to 12.6 µm. The SPECDILAS-Q lasers, which come mounted on a peltier cooler, are packaged into a TO-8 housing. Typically, LASER COMPONENTS supplies units with a complete laser head (QUANTA-OEM), which includes the QCL laser and drive electronics.  The user-friendly OEM module allows lasers to be exchanged so that more than one laser can be used with the driver. Further services available from LASER COMPONENTS, include reference gas cell testing, which for example might include verifying the presence of a line within a gas sample helping the customer to make the right choice of laser wavelength for their spectroscopic analysis.
