LASER COMPONENTS Canada (LCC) has developed and commercialized several families of pulsed laser diodes (PLDs). The diodes operate at 905 nm and 1550 nm with pulsed output powers up to 210 W. The newest addition is the multi-junction product at 905 nm operating up to 75 W in a standard TO-56.
The 905 nm products with single junction material are available in output powers up to 130 W while operating at a duty cycle of 0.1%. We have recently added a high volume production packaging option enabling competitive pricing to plastic packages.
Our tested and proven multi-junction laser technology, which contains several epitaxially integrated emitters, enables peak powers up to 75 W can be achieved at a wavelength of 905 nm. Due to its smaller emitting area the power provided by this laser can be more easily coupled into a fiber and combined with micro-optics. We have recently added a high volume production packaging option enabling competitive pricing to plastic packages.
The 1550 nm products are becoming increasingly popular due the eye safety issues with 905 nm devices. LCC offers peak powers up to 60 W at 1550 nm.
