The LDP-V X0-70 series was developed for use with LASER COMPONENTS’ successful pulsed laser diodes and makes it possible and easier for any user to produce ns pulses. The compact OEM board only measures 32 mm x 15 mm, and the high voltage supply is already integrated. The only required periphery devices are a 15 VDC supply and a trigger signal.
With the LDP-V10-70 module, pulses of 10 ns – 1 µs can be produced at typical rise times of 3 ns – and that at a repetition rate of up to 100 kHz. This module supplies pulsed laser diodes with currents of 2.5 A to 13 A. The LDP-V40-70 driver with a pulse current of 8 –
40 A results in pulses in the range of 15 ns to 1 µs at rise times of < 7 ns.
The pulsed laser diode is connected directly to the board, eliminating the need for cumbersome wiring. One of the module’s incontrovertible advantages is its weight of just 4 grams, which becomes particularly important when being used in portable laser rangefinders or LIDAR systems.
