TFP-HOM series line lasers are available for the first time with a broadband light source. Through the use of a super luminescent diode (SLD) the speckle patterns common in laser light are significantly reduced, which allows more precise measurements in machine vision applications to be made. The SLD emits at 680 nm, achieving an optical output power of approximately 3 mW after optics.
All FP-HOM series FLEXPOINT® line lasers were revised technically. When focussing the line, its alignment remains constant. The focal range lies between 50 mm and infinity. The following fan angles are available: 10°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90°. Due to the new design, a higher output power of up to 70 mW can be achieved, depending on the wavelength. This makes a shorter exposure time and thus a shorter processing time in image processing possible.
Unlike lasers that use a cylindrical lens to generate a line, the power distribution of the FP-HOM series is homogenous. This leads to a uniform power density across the whole line.
FLEXPOINT® line lasers are available on a standard basis in the green (532 nm) and red (635-660 nm) spectral ranges. Laser diodes of other wavelengths can be implemented upon customer request.
A variety of options, such as digital or analog modulation and power adjustment using a potentiometer or a third wire, opens up a large field of potential applications.
