Our former name LASER COMPONENTS Instrument Group was shortened to LASER COMPONENTS IG, Inc. several years ago when we began to shift our product emphasis away from instrumentation to components. Seemed then we were always explaining what the IG stood for, realizing it was meaningless. So now in our North American market we are LASER COMPONENTS, USA, Inc.

The COUNTblue Single Photon Counting module is now introduced and achieves a quantum efficiency of 60 % in the blue spectral region, a new technology for the industry.
We have released a new 1550 nm Pulsed Laser Diode with integrated fast axis collimation (FAC) optics. Divergences of 10 mrad can be achieved with the FAC lens attached directly in front of the laser diode chip inside a small, hermetically sealed TO-46 package.
Last but not least, we are very pleased to announce our new ion beam sputtering (IBS) laser optics coater. Our new IBS coater that is now on-line gives us and you a strategic advantage in the marketplace and nicely compliments our other state-of-the-art coating technologies.
