Since the founding of LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group, Inc. in 2004 we have created a product range consisting of both high quality and low cost APDs. Depending on the specifications they are suitable for applications in rangefinding, speed measurements, laser radars, security scanners, fluorescence measurements, spectroscopy or other test and measurement systems in the industrial, military, or medical market.
The APDs are available in differentTO cans and can come with a lens cap or integrated filter, with TEC, as an SMD package, or on a ceramic submount (see table).

One specialty is our SAT3000, which is a large area, low noise and high speed avalanche photodiode designed to maximize long wavelength responsivity achieving 40% quantum efficiency at 1064 nm. SAT3000 APD’s wide range of available gain and unique combination of size and low noise make them ideal for YAG laser applications.
