External cavity laser diodes (ECLs) are lasers with a very small line width, very good wavelength stability, and very low noise. They are used in optical communication and fiber sensor technology.
Narrow-banded ECL lasers are characterized by a very small line width, low noise, and very good wavelength stability.
They are ideal laser diodes for applications in coherent transmission technology, remote sensing systems, and distributed fiber-optic temperature and stress sensors. They are also used in systems for the fiber-optic detection of sonic and seismic waves, high-resolution spectroscopy, LIDAR systems, and other fiber-optic high-precision measurement technology systems.
Laser diodes and laser diode modules are available for 1064 nm and 1530-1565 nm.
Complete benchtop laser light sources are available for direct use in the laboratory and development.
