The UV/Vis/IR converter cards on offer from LCUK have become increasingly popular over the last few years with laser manufacturers and field engineers. These cards allow users to view IR/UV light in the visible, allowing alignment of optical beam paths, resonators and mode pattern monitoring. Conversion is possible from various cards covering 0.78 µm to 1.7 µm in the IR and 0.25 to 0.5 µm in the uv, and Vis cards shift 532 nm light to a safe visible wavelength, for example.
The cards come in credit card, and disc+wand format. The conversion disc offers the advantage that the incident beam is made visible on both sides.
