FEMTO now offers the new LCA-2-10T ultra low noise current amplifier, replacing the LCA1-10T. Key features include:
- adjustable gain of 10^12V/A and 10^13V/A for measurement of very small currents in the range of ca. 1fA to 10pA
- very low input noise of 0.18fA/root Hz in both gain settings
- adjustable low pass filter with 3 settings for amplifier rise times of 200ms, 1s and 5s
- compact package for use close to the signal source to prevent noise pick-up and signal degradation due to long input cables
- DC optimised design with high stability and very low drift
The typical applications of the new LCA-2-10T are:
- sensitive current and charge measurements
- spectroscopy
- scanning microscopy of very high impedance samples (STM, conductive AFM)
- photodiode amplifier
- characterisation of electronic components
- preamplifier for oscilloscopes, A/D converters, digital voltmeters etc.
