LASER COMPONENTS are pleased to announce distribution of a new and exciting line of USB spectrometers. The TRISTAN 5 is a completely self contained spectrometer with a touch sensitive colour display and on board software thus no PC is required! The onboard software has built in dark current compensation, noise correction and amplitude correction. Along with these features there is a special algorithm, which allows the increase of the systems dynamic range by 27.
It comes complete with a USB interface so that data can be restored to a PC for processing at a later date, or it can be controlled via a pc when in the lab. The TRISTAN 5 is also available as a desktop unit TRISTAN LIGHT, which retains all the features of the TRISTAN 5 without the touch sensitive screen. It is also possible to conduct experiments remotely over a network with an optional network adaptor alternately a wireless LAN or Bluetooth version is available.
Another defining feature of the TRISTAN range is it’s compatibility with a wide range of detectors and gratings. Not just the Sony ILX511, Toshiba and InGaAs detector arrays are compatible, but also the Hamamatsu S9840 detector may be used. The Hamamatsu detector array has 3 times the dynamic range and 40% less signal to noise than the Sony array in the UV/NIR region.
With a wide range of grating and detector options and a full series of light sources designed for absorption, emission and Raman spectroscopy along with a diverse range of accessories, a complete system can be designed with your application in mind.
