Top-Hat DOE for 2940 nm Lasers

LASER COMPONENTS is pleased to announce HoloOr’s launch of their new range of Top-Hat beam-shapers optimised and designed for a 2940 nm laser, which they believe to be the world’s first Top-Hat for this wavelength.


The beam shaper accepts a 4.0 mm Gaussian beam and creates a 200 µm diameter Top-Hat spot at an 80 mm working distance. The substrate is an 11 mm diameter Sapphire disk. A simulated beam shape of this spot is displayed in the figure.


Capabilities include design, manufacture and anti-reflection coatings for off-the-shelf and custom diffractive optical elements. Standard parts include beam splitters, beam shapers (Top-Hat), beam samplers, and many others, on fused silica, ZnSe, Sapphire, PMMA (plastic) and other materials. Specialities include designing and manufacturing elements for high power lasers with high efficiency.
