Pyroelectric Detectors Manufactured by LASER COMPONENTS
LASER COMPONENTS has now expanded its infrared technology to include the in-house production of pyroelectric detectors after acquiring the US-based manufacturer Microwatt Applications LLC; with decades of expertise and experience, now operating as Laser Components Pyro Group Inc.
Our new line of pyroelectric detectors will not only include Microwatt‘s existing line of successful LiTaO3 detectors used in industrial gas analysis, flame recognition, and process control; but also DLaTGS based devices for premium applications such as FTIR spectrometers and THz applications which are gaining an ever increasing importance in the marketplace. DLaTGS crystals used to produce our premium detector range have a “locked-in” polarisation and do not require a poling voltage to be able to maintain an output signal, and are capable of operating at speeds up to 4000Hz. State of the art manufacturing techniques have also resulted in a reduced sensitivity to microphonics and shocks.
