Now Available: CW 5.2 µm and 7.7 µm QCLs
Continuously emitting single-mode quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) are now available at LASER COMPONENTS under the product code SPECDILAS-QCW-XXXX-GMP. The operating temperature of these DFB lasers is 77K. The operation of cw QCLs at low temperature instead of room temperature is advantageous for longer life expectancy. The output power is 20 mW at 7.7 µm or 50mW at 5.2 µm. These lasers are particularly interesting because their line width is, according to theoretical estimates, only some 10 kHz. A complete list is shown below:

FP: Fabry-Perot structure (i.e. multi-mode emission)
DFB: Distributed feedback structure (i.e. single-mode emission)
*We recommend cooling the THz-QCLs as much as possible. This increases the emitted optical power significantly. LASER COMPONENTS offers different cooling solutions for 77K to 30K, 10K, and 5K.
Unless otherwise noted, all of our lasers emit at room temperature and in pulse mode. You can find measurement logs of all of the lasers available in stock on our website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
