InfraTec, manufacturer of world class pyroelectric detectors, has steadily grown its range of integrated narrow band pass (NBP), long wave pass (LWP), short wave pass (SWP) and wide band pass (WBP) optical filters, and so has found it necessary to improve the nomenclature used in defining the filter options used.
Whilst many of the very popular alphabet filter designations remain unchanged, helping customers with a long term familiarity of these filter types, all new filter types, and some less commonly used filters, will now use a two digit numeric code. In both schemes, the filter designation follows the pyro model.
