A new series of fast, reliable, and flexible fibre optical switches for multi-mode fibres with core diameters of up to 600 µm complements LASER COMPONENTS’ product portfolio. The switches of the new product families, “mol 1xN” and “mol 2xN,” combine extremely short switching times (under 5 milliseconds) with the highest reliability and the lowest signal loss (i. e. less than 0.5 dB). We guarantee a life expectancy of 108 switching cycles.
Our extensive range includes high quality switches with solutions for almost all application fields using optical single-mode or multi-mode fibres, from telecommunication, sensor technology, optical spectroscopy, and biomedical technology to polarisation-maintaining fibre optics. All switches are available in various configurations and come with or without a connector in either compact housings, table housings, or 19” rack module.
The special micro-optical concept behind the fibre optical switch is flexible and allows for the customised integration of additional optical functionality such as filtering and monitoring.
