Micro lens arrays

LASER COMPONENTS offers micro lens arrays from partners Holo/Or for laser beam homogenising and shaping. Micro lens arrays consist of micron-scale plano-convex refractive lenses packed together on a single supporting substrate. While each individual lens behaves as a conventional refractive lens, the cumulative effect when the substrate is illuminated with a laser beam is such that more complex optical functions can be generated such as beam shaping and homogenisation.

An advanced fabrication process allows for high levels of customisation, with lenses arranged in square, hexagonal or linear grid configurations on substrates from 2mm to 100mm. Fused silica substrates are suitable for high power laser systems, but for cost sensitive application, polymer on glass (POG) substrates are also available.
