The Flexpoint® series of laser diode modules offer a large selection of different lasers for machine vision applications. As well as standard ‘spot’ lasers we also offer line lasers with both Gaussian and linear intensity distributions as well as lasers with special optics to generate cross lines, circles and grids.
A new FLEXPOINT® line laser has also been developed that can create eleven parallel lines from a single module. This is possible through a diffractive optical element, which can be integrated to the module face or supplied as a removable attachment.
The advantages are obvious: In the past, several line lasers had to be used for a measuring task. Through the use of this module, complex alignment can be simplified and the costs involved in acquiring numerous line lasers are reduced.
These modules are all developed for measuring tasks in image processing, where high output power and reliable specifications are required.
