Dear Reader

As the year draws to an end members in our photonics community will reflect upon 2007 and, if like LASER COMPONENTS, they will be pleased with the active and buoyant industry that is evident within the UK, and also in many other countries. This continual demand for our products has seen a 7 year on year growth and it is pleasing to observe key factors for achieving that success. In the end what makes the all important customer want to buy from 'you', when one considers that there are often competitors offering similar products at similar prices?  At LASER COMPONENTS not only do we offer competitively priced products conforming to extended quality standards, but we strive to provide a good standard of customer service. We welcome your feedback, good or bad, that will help us to continue to offer a better service.

With that in mind, this Christmas issue of Photonics News has a stocking full of new, high quality products, like the Photline polarisation rotators for fibre polarisation control, the LASER COMPONENTS' improved homogenous laser line generators for machine vision applications, the SEDI 1000bar hermetically sealed fibre optic feedthroughs for high pressure fibre environments, the FEMTO new extended 400MHz bandwidth current amplifier for enhanced photodiode sensors, and the improved HoloOr top hat DOE for improved laser marking resolution, to name just a few.
