LASER COMPONENTS offer a range of components and systems for spectroscopic applications.
As well as distributing m-u-t’s TRISTAN® series of complete spectrometers for desktop and in-the-field spectroscopy in the 0.2 µm to 2.5 µm range, LASER COMPONENTS provide the individual elements central to the operation of spectrometers; multi-element arrays, gratings and optics.
For MIR analysis the lead-salt laser diodes, manufactured by the LASER COMPONENTS group, are used for high resolution absorption spectroscopy from 2.94 µm up to 15 µm with option of monochromator, Ge-etalon, temperature-current controller and cooling dewar/refrigerator.
Regarding components, a notable detector is the Cal Sensors Inc 256 element lead-salt array with sensitivity between 1-5 µm that offers significantly higher detectivity over related components such as thermopiles and pyroelectric detectors.
Also available for spectroscopic applications is the SPECDILAS® series, which includes QCLs, VCSELs, HCSELs, DFBs and lead-salt laser diodes. Each source emits narrow line-widths and can be tuned to match exact wavelengths for looking at different species e.g. 763 nm for Oxygen, 1393 nm water vapour, 1684 nm for methane, to name but a few.
