Efficient Coupling for Material Processing Systems

With their square fiber core, so-called square fibers ensure that the beams from diode lasers are coupled into material processing systems with virtually no loss. The laser power is distributed evenly across the entire cross-section of the core, resulting in a homogeneous beam profile without the need for additional optics. This makes it possible to cost-effectively achieve the highest output power.

For customized assemblies, LASER COMPONENTS equips such fibers with connectors such as D80, SMA, and SMA High Power. In the case of the D80 connector, a process developed in house ensures that all fibers are optimally aligned with the twisting lug of the connector to avoid power loss due to jamming. For all assemblies, the manufacturer relies on precise manual work and guarantees consistently high quality through extensive control measurements.
