Switchable light source for white light and IR radiation

LaserLight SMD W-IR is a white light source and an IR emitter on the same 7x7 mm SMD element. In the visible spectrum the chip offers a light output of 450 lumens and a luminance of 1000 Mcd/cm². Due to the narrow beam angle, the white light reaches a particularly high range. As an infrared source, it achieves an output of 250 mW at 905 nm or 850 nm. On request, the chip is also available with a starboard for easy installation.

Especially for professional security systems, this emitter enables new, space-saving solutions without cumbersome cabling. For example, security cameras could automatically flood the surveillance area with bright light as soon as they detect anything suspicious.
