Combines beam splitter and polarizer in one optic
Standard beam splitters are usually designed to split a laser beam of one wavelength into a transmitted and a reflected beam. On the other hand, multiple wavelength beam splitters process light of different wavelengths and polarizations in just one component.
Particularly when working with frequency-doubled beams both s-polarized and p-polarized light of different wavelengths often occur simultaneously. Our multi-wavelength beam splitters can be adapted for different polarizations.
A classic example of corresponding optics from LASER COMPONENTS makes it possible to split a combined beam with the wavelengths 1030 nm (s-polarized) and 515 nm (p-polarized) in such a way that 50% of the beam components are reflected or transmitted, which simplifies the optical design. The anti-reflective coating on the back of the lens is also optimized for the polarization of the respective wavelength.
In addition to this standard coating, we can design multiple wavelength beam splitters with other reflection/transmission ratios, polarizations, and wavelengths according to your requirements. We will be happy to advise you.
