Doped PS Fibers
Photosensitive (PS) fibers are equipped with a combination of boron/germanium doping. This makes them particularly light-sensitive, even with a relatively high mode-field diameter; thus, fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) can also be inscribed without prior hydrogen enrichment. This saves time, for example, in the manufacture of FBG stabilizers for diode lasers.
