Multicore Fiber Fan-Outs
Multicore fan-outs have an input side that consists of several single-mode fibers and an output side that consists of a single multicore fiber. Fibercore uses 3D waveguide technology in production to achieve highly efficient optical fiber coupling that minimizes insertion loss, unwanted side effects in the signals (≤-50 dB), and polarization-related losses (≤1.0 dB each). This flexible process also enables the manufacturer to optimally position the fiber cores for individual custom solutions. In addition, this process is easily scalable for the production of larger quantities.
