Oftentimes, depending on the application, different power ranges have to be covered by one and the same laser. LASER COMPONENTS has various components available for an optical power attenuation.
- λ/2 retardation plate. For the most common and very easy assembly, a λ/2 retardation plate and a polarizer are used.
- Dielectric mirror. Furthermore, dielectric mirrors, in which the transmission can be adjusted by changing the incident angle, can be used. This is particularly interesting for UV wavelengths for which polarizers are not available.
- Complete system. A complete system consists of two Glan Taylor polarizers in a row.
Details regarding the three above-described set-ups with which a variable optical attenuator can be implemented are available on our website under the given code number.
We would certainly be more than happy to assist you in choosing the most suitable set-up for your application.
