Vacuum Feedthroughs with M10 and M16 Threads

The vacuum feedthroughs for optical fibers distributed by LASER COMPONENTS are now also available in the industrial standards M10 and M16. These kinds of flanges, which have been optimized for high vacuum (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications, are primarily used in military and industrial applications.  

These feedthroughs are suitable for single-mode and multi-mode fibers, as well as polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers. Their air tightness is from 10-10 to 10-12 mbar l/s and they withstand temperatures between -25°C and 180°C. Feedthroughs for FC/PC and FC/APC connectors are also available upon request.  

These types of feedthroughs are used in vacuum applications and pressure chambers. There, the fibers are exposed to extreme pressure and high temperatures, which they would not withstand unprotected.
