Thermal Fiber Stripper with Variable Fiber Diameters and Temperature Settings
TSAB-40 and TSFB-125 thermal strippers are perfect for removing different primary and secondary coatings from optical fibers as gently as possible without weakening the strength of the fiber. With the TSAB-40, the distance between the stripping blades can be variably adjusted to fiber diameters from 30 μm to 1 mm and coating diameters up to 1.2 mm. The temperature can be adjusted to the coating material. The heating element allows temperatures of up to 200°C. This allows even fluoroacrylate undercoatings to be removed.
The thermal deposition process is considerably gentler than purely mechanical strippers and pliers. The heated coating can be removed more easily without the blades touching the fiber, which could lead to breakage later.
In addition to the variably adjustable TSAB-40 version, you can also obtain the compact, low-maintenance table-top unit as a preadjusted TSFB-125 version for 125 µm fibers.
