Who is not familiar with this situation? A laser wavelength should be blocked as much as possible, while the measurement signal is placed as close to this wavelength as possible. As a solution to this problem, we offer both ultra-steep long-pass and short-pass designs.
With edge filters a laser line of 488 nm, for example, is blocked with OD6 (-60 dB), while at the same time allowing the transmission of 90% to be used between 491 nm and 1200 nm. Similar designs are available for many wavelengths in the Vis/NIR range.
One such steep-edged long-pass filter was developed for DPSS lasers (e.g., Cobolt AB) that allows OD6 blocking at 491.5 nm and a transmission of 90% starting at 495 nm.
Do you require other edge positions or laser line filters with a full width half maximum of <2 nm, a transmission of 90%, and good blocking outside the passband? Then we can help you with your project. Just contact us!
