On September 9th, 3:10 p.m., our partner Haas Laser Technologies will present its BWA-MON beam analysis system at the LANE 2020 online conference. Using a decoupled beam, this device enables a real-time analysis of important parameters such as M², spot size and focus position. Deviations from standards are detected immediately, which allows operators to react in time to prevent major damage.
The M² value represents a particularly big challenge. On the one hand, it is an important factor for the functionality of every laser system. On the other hand, M² measurement has long been considered extremely difficult. The BWA-MON system has no moving parts and delivers reproducible, ISO-compliant measurement results in real time.
Because of the current health situation, LANE 2020 has been moved to the Internet. However, the international exchange of ideas, opinions, perspectives, results and solutions on photonic technologies remains in the foreground. It has always been an important claim of LANE to combine scientific, industrial and application-related aspects.
