quTAU – For Quantum Optics, Fluorescence Microscopy, or High-Energy Physics

The quTAU records the timestamps of electrical signals, which is extremely important in time-correlated single photon counting.

The compact counter transmits the time an event occurs and the count rates of eight individual input channels via USB to a PC. In addition, the quTAU exhibits a temporal resolution of 81 ps and an individually selectable coincidence time window. All features are designed for different applications in quantum optics, fluorescence microscopy, and high-energy physics.

This unit is set up using a PC and is equipped with a graphic user interface to make adjustment of the parameters as easy as possible. Prepared software examples for C++ and Labview™ facilitate integration into a customer-specific environment. This system can be operated on Windows® and Linux PCs.
