The alignment of machines requires precision. Modern laser technology is used to “line it all up.” But is a conventional laser enough to carry out precise alignment?
Due to the way they are produced, the housing axis and beam axis in standard laser modules are not the same. In LASER COMPONENTS’ precision lasers these axes are aligned.
In second-generation LT-PLM precision laser modules, the deviation of the laser point to the housing axis is only 1 mm, even at a distance of 20 meters. The laser emits a bright red spot in order to be seen clearly.
The LT-PLM precision laser can be operated without taking laser safety precautions. The integrated electronics provide consistently bright laser light at supply voltages between 4.5 and 30 VDC. The lasers are also protected against reverse polarity. The LT-PLM’s potential-free housing consists of solid aluminum. It is 100 mm long and has a diameter of 24 mm.
A power supply is available optionally for stationary operation. A battery pack and recharger are available for mobile use. A recharged battery can operate continuously for at least 8 hours.
