Fiber-optic components and machines used to manufacture fused couplers are available from Lightel, an American company founded in 1999. LASER COMPONENTS would like to introduce Lightel as its new partner.
With hundreds of coupler workstations installed worldwide, Lightel has set the benchmark among almost all coupler-producing companies. In addition to standard fibers with a diameter of 125 µm, thicker fibers and polarization-maintaining fibers can also be processed.
The latest development is the compact coupler workstation FIBERFORGE with a built-in control computer and an optional hydrogen generator, which ensures the highest flexibility. Suited for both the production and development of special couplers, FIBERFORGE can process fibers with an optical diameter between 80 µm and 400 µm.
