With the FTTx measurement kit from Viavi Solutions, technicians receive a complete package for control and acceptance measurements in FTTx and PON networks with the wavelengths 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. The measurements can be performed both on the passive cable infrastructure (out of service) and on networks already in operation (in service).
The kit contains the ORL-85 and OLP-85 instruments. The ORL-85 is three instruments in one: an optical laser source, a power meter, and a return loss meter.
The OLP-85 is a power meter with a measurement range from 800 nm to 1700 nm and an impressive dynamic range of 100 dB. Both devices are available on an optional basis with an internal microscope for the end face inspection of optical connectors.
