LASER COMPONENTS also produces high power pulsed laser diodes at 850 nm in Canada for applications such as range finding, speed measurement, laser radar, safety scanners, laser light curtains, or for use in testing and measurement systems.
These laser diodes are highly reliable and are characterized by excellent beam properties and temperature stability. With an efficiency of 0.8 W/A the stacks reach a peak power of 100 W at a pulse length of 150 ns. The 850 nm PLDs are delivered in a TO 18, 5.6 mm, 9 mm, or 8-32 coax housing or as a chip on a ceramic submount.
The 850 series complements the 905 series and 1550 series, both very successful and well-established on the market. The 905 nm PLDs achieve peak power levels of up to 220 W, the 1550 nm devices reach power levels of up to 50 W.
