785 nm Laser Diode in TO Housing

Our partner PD-LD has developed the world’s first VBG-stabilized 785 nm single-mode laser diode.

In the near infrared spectral range, this is the first laser in a 5.6 mm TO housing to which VBG technology was able to be applied successfully. The laser diode has two main features: a stable wavelength with a low bandwidth and a high optical output power.

With a spectral bandwidth of only 0.1 nm, this laser exhibits an output power of up to 120 mW. This is made possible by the combination of patented VBG technology and a monitor diode or an internal temperature sensor.

These diodes are used in Raman spectroscopy, medical technology, and military applications.
